1. What is your career background?
I recently joined Elementz as a Software Quality Engineer and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team by helping build software that’s both reliable and user-focused. Before this, I worked as a Database Administrator, where I had the opportunity to work with large-scale database systems and learned a lot about data integrity, performance, and backend processes.
That role made me curious about quality not just in the tech itself but in how users experience it. I’ve been involved in project-based work in software testing, like test case design, defect tracking, and manual testing. Now, I’m expanding into automation and can’t wait to keep learning and growing in that area. I’m pretty detail-oriented and always looking for ways to improve.
2. What did you study, and what inspired you to choose that field?
I studied Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, which gave me a solid base in thinking about systems and solving problems logically.
During my studies, I became fascinated by how much software shapes our daily lives and how important it is to get the quality right to create a seamless experience. I’ve always enjoyed the behind-the-scenes work of tweaking systems to make them more efficient and dependable. That naturally drew me to quality engineering because it means helping build products people can really trust.
3. Is there a particular skill, tool, or area of quality engineering you’re hoping to explore or develop further at Elementz?
Absolutely, I’m currently focusing on improving my skills in test automation and learning tools that are widely used across the industry, such as Selenium, Cypress, and Postman for API testing. I’m also interested in exploring JMeter for performance testing and tools like Jenkins that support CI/CD workflows.
I’m keen to understand the bigger picture of quality, how testing integrates with development, deployment, and user feedback. I feel very fortunate to be at Elementz, where there’s support for exploring and growing.
4. What do you enjoy most about being part of the Elementz team and working on the product?
What stands out most is the welcoming and collaborative culture here at Elementz. Everyone I’ve met so far has been incredibly approachable and generous with their time and knowledge. It creates a great learning atmosphere and makes me feel comfortable asking questions and taking on new challenges.
I also really appreciate that we’re working on a product that genuinely solves problems. It feels good to be part of a team that cares about quality and user experience.
5. Outside of work, what’s a hobby or passion that keeps you energised?
Outside of work, I enjoy badminton, painting, reading, and yoga. They help me recharge, stay balanced, and keep a fresh perspective. They also remind me of the importance of patience, creativity, and consistency, qualities I try to bring into my professional life as well.
