Elementz bolster the team with a Business Development Executive

Morgan-Adam-Elementz

Since our launch as Elementz in June 2024, we have grown at pace, expanding our client base, extending the reach of our software, and growing our team.

To help us keep that momentum going, we are thrilled to welcome Morgan Adam as our new Business Development Executive at the start of January. Her arrival marks another step forward in our journey to shape the future of subsea integrity management.

In this Q&A, Morgan shares more about her background, her career so far, and what excites her most about joining Elementz.

Let’s dive in.

Can you share your career journey and how it led you to Elementz?

I had an interesting start to my career. I left school in 2020 with an offer from the University of Aberdeen to study Primary Education. However, as this was the first year of predicted grades due to Covid, there were some errors and, combined with a temporary technical fault, I was left to choose another course through clearing- Occupational Therapy.

My first year was fully online, my second year involved being on campus just one day a week, and by the start of my third year, I decided to leave as it wasn’t the field I was truly interested in. I then chose to work in a school for children with additional support needs. I found this job very rewarding, but it also confirmed that teaching wasn’t the right path for me.

I later decided to move into the offshore industry and began my career as a Crewing Assistant. I really enjoyed the role, but I knew I was capable of taking on more responsibility. Around eight months later, I was given the opportunity to step up into a Crewing Coordinator role at an ROV company.

After attending Offshore Europe 2025, I realised that business development was where my strengths truly lay. Through networking evenings and young professionals’ events, I built strong relationships with the Elementz team. By showing interest and initiative, I was offered a role with them. I’m incredibly proud to have found a job where my strengths are recognised and used in my day-to-day work.

Can you tell us a bit about your role as a Business Development Executive at Elementz?

A big part of my role is building relationships, turning conversations into long-term, high-value partnerships and strengthening relationships with both new and existing customers.

My role focuses on driving growth by identifying new opportunities, markets, and partnerships with companies, as well as attending conferences and meeting with clients.

I’m also involved in creating strategy, aligning sales, marketing, and leadership to help scale the business. This includes working collaboratively to explore new areas, customers, and events.

What attracted you to Elementz?

I first met the Elementz team in May last year at an AYP event they were sponsoring. Everyone was so friendly, and throughout the year we crossed paths at similar events, including Offshore Europe. This gave me the opportunity to build strong relationships with the team, and I was kindly invited to attend some of their events as well. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, and it was clear that Elementz had a great culture and team. It really stood out as a company I would love to work for.

What do you enjoy most about working with customers and partners in your role?

I’m a bit of a chatterbox, so speaking to people and building new relationships is something I really thrive on. I’ve seen huge benefits from attending networking events, and I’m especially excited to attend Subsea Expo in February to meet and connect with both new and existing customers.

When you were five years old, what was your dream job?

When I was five, my dream was either to be Hannah Montana and have my own TV show, or to be a vet, mainly so I could cuddle animals all day!
