Earlier this year, we launched Compass, our Customer Advisory Board dedicated to shaping the future of digital subsea integrity and inspection management. Built on collaboration rather than assumption, Compass brings together industry leaders to directly influence what we build, how we build it, and why it matters.
Just a few months into this journey, the results are already proving the value of co-creation. Our Compass review session last week showcased the strong alignment between customer priorities and product direction, along with tangible progress in transforming dialogue into delivery.
What we have achieved so far?
Since the first Compass session, we’ve worked in close partnership with members to identify the most pressing challenges facing subsea integrity teams – both offshore and onshore. In just a few months, recurring themes from our members have helped resolve the most valuable opportunities across the subsea integrity workflow.
The high-impact areas that are shaping our roadmap include:
- Workflow Standardisation & Automation
- Actionable Visualisation
- Improved Entry Usability & Role-Based Access
- Smarter Documentation & Reporting
- Practical Data Intelligence
2D Visualisation
One of the earliest and clearest signals from Compass members was the need for more intuitive ways to interpret and interact with integrity data.
In response, we developed a 2D visualisation prototype that allows users to navigate inspection and anomaly data through simplified subsea layouts, providing clarity and context in one view. This solution is now in user testing. The power of co-creation is compressing the time between insight and implementation while ensuring the result is truly usable and valuable.
AI-Accelerator
Another emerging focus area for Compass is the role of AI in transforming subsea integrity workflows. We’ve initiated early-stage development of our AI-Accelerator which is an exploratory framework for embedding machine learning into routine inspection, analysis, and planning tasks.
With the goal of reducing manual effort, accelerating anomaly triage, and uncovering actionable insights earlier, the conversations with Compass members are helping us zero in on the most valuable, practical use cases, ensuring we deliver AI that improves, not complicates, existing processes.
It’s still early days, but the collaborative momentum is strong. More to come.
Why Compass Works?
What sets Compass apart is its influence. By involving our key customers from day one, we’re ensuring each product decision reflects operational realities, not assumptions.
The result is faster prioritisation, more relevant tools, and innovations that stick.
What’s Next for Compass
As we move forward, we’ll continue working side-by-side with the Compass Board to:
- Expand and scale visualisation and layering
- Advance the AI-Accelerator
- And deliver the next set of prioritised roadmap features.
We’ll also be sharing more regular updates to keep our wider community informed and involved in what’s coming next.
To our Compass partners, thank you for your insight, candour, and commitment to shaping what’s next.
We believe the future of subsea integrity isn’t something you build for the industry – it’s something you build with it.
If you’re interested in learning more, or want to be part of shaping what’s next, we’d love to hear from you.
